RSP UK, a leading supplier of construction equipment, has announced they now have approval to deliver NVQ level 2 training in Plant Operations. To deliver this training RSP UK has partnered with the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA). The SQA work with learners, schools, colleges and training providers across and the UK.
This qualification is aimed at those who have completed CPCS training, are in work and are looking for recognition of their prior learning and experience. Its primary purpose is to confirm the learner’s occupational competence as a Plant Operator.
“We are proud that RSP UK is the only suction excavator manufacturer in the UK approved to offer this level of training. We feel strongly that skilled and educated operators, who really understand the technology, are vital” said Lloyd Gardener, Director of RSP UK.
The training team at RSP UK are fully qualified and experienced in both training and testing within this industry. They work with beginner, intermediate and advanced operators and offer a balanced combination of theoretical learning and practical application. The new NVQ joins RSP UK’s existing portfolio of training courses, which includes CPCS and EUSR training.

RSP UK, a leading supplier of suction excavators, today announced plans to expand their range of construction equipment. The first new products to be added to the range are Amphitec vacuum trucks and BROCK sweepers.
Amphitec is a leading manufacturer of vacuum equipment and has changed its UK distributor to RSP UK with immediate effect. German company R&G, owner of the RSP group, acquired Amphitec and ATEC Rental in August 2022. The acquisition broadened RSP’s product range with vacuum technology that is complementary to RSP’s ventilation technology, and the fullintegration is now underway with the merger of the international sales and service organisations of both companies.
“We are excited to now be able to better serve our customers by providing them with a wider range of exceptional construction equipment,” said Lloyd Gardener, Director of RSP UK. “We are extremely proud of the strong relationships we have built across the construction, civil engineering and utilities sectors in the UK and believe we can bring the same high-quality of production, service and maintenance, and training to our customers across a variety of products.”
“We are very happy that RSP UK is now our distributor in the UK,” said Rino Reuvekamp, Managing Director of Amphitec. “We look forward to working together to bring the benefits of our innovative products to more UK customers.”
“We are proud to partner with RSP UK,” said Thorsten Laß, Managing Director of BROCK. “RSP UK is a well-established and respected company with a very strong track record of success in the UK market. We believe that RSP UK is the best partner to help us grow our business in the UK.”
This initial expansion of the range of products is the next step on the roadmap for the progression of RSP UK, and the driving ethos will remain to provide customers with an exceptional level of service and support, right from the initial requirement for construction equipment, through to regular service and maintenance, and training for operators.
This expansion demonstrates RSP UK’s commitment to growth and innovation and will help the company to further solidify its position as a leading supplier of construction equipment in the UK. Amphitec and BROCK products will be on display alongside an RSP suction excavator at the FloodEx exhibition at the ExCel this week in London (22-23 November 2023).

Charlie Gardener, one of the directors of suction excavator manufacturer RSP UK, has been named on this year’s inaugural Inspirational Business Women in STEM and Construction (IBWSC) list.
The IBWSC list was created to identify inspirational female business owners in STEM and construction, who can act as role models to the future generations. These are women challenging the status quo, in typically male-dominated sectors.
Hundreds of nominations were put forward, of which 70 were long-listed, before the final 30 were announced at an event held at the House of Lords on Thursday 22 June, which was hosted by Baroness Sandy Verma and Roni Savage, CEO of Jomas.
Charlie said, “It is a real honour to be named on this list of trailblazing women. Attending the House of Lords event and speaking to other female entrepreneurs, all with different backgrounds and career paths, was really inspiring. I’m sure the UK’s construction and engineering sectors could be even more successful and sustainable if we could attract a much more diverse workforce.”
The IBWSC list followed the government-commissioned ‘Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship’, which highlighted that women entrepreneurs are underrepresented in the most productive sectors of the UK economy, and that female entrepreneurship could add a further £250bn to the UK economy.
The Review recommends that encouraging young women to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics is key to increasing female start-up rates in those sectors.
Women still make up a minority of the UK STEM workforce, occupying just 29.4% of roles.
It is widely accepted that the lack of visible female role models in the STEM industry contributes to the low number of females taking up STEM-related careers.

Providing the highest quality for our customers, modern and safe workstations for our employees and contributing to the environment: these were the decisive criteria for why we invested in making innovations to the sandblasting machine; with this, we intend to meet the requirements of the market and the wishes of our customers for high-quality products.
RSP expanded the company's premises in Saalfeld with a vehicle washing system and a roofed-over construction for commissioning vehicles. The project funded by the Free State of Thuringia was co-financed by funds from the European Union as part of the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE). The building project should be complete by the end of April 2017.
